Divine Emblems or Temporal Things Spiritualised(49)

First published in 1686 as A Book for Boys and Girls, or Country Rhimes for Children in verse on seventy-four things, it was not illustrated until 1707, having been reduced to forty-nine things. These illustrations come from a mid-nineteenth century version that in turn drew upon the 1757 tenth edition of E. Dilly.The artist is unknown.
